|events| :: DOUM in PREOBRAZBA ::

DOUM je društvo mladih oblikovalcev in umetnikov, ki je bilo ustvarjeno dober mesec nazaj, z namenom druženja in izmenjavanja znanj med kreativci.

Zaenkrat so med člani arhitekti, fotografi, grafični oblikovalci, oblikovalci notranje opreme.. želijo pa si, da bi se jim pridružilo čim več zagnanih mladih ljudi, iz različnih kreativnih področij. 

Društvo bo imelo pester program skozi celo leto, od okroglih miz, različnih delavnic na temo programskih orodij, fotografske delavnice in še marsikaj drugega.

Če bi te zanimalo sodelovanje/članstvo, obišči njihovo facebook stran in jim napiši sporočilo.

Otvoritvena zabava DOUM, se bo odvijala 30. januarja ob 20h, v Centralni Postaji. Ob glasbi za katero bo skrbel dj Illusion, si boste lahko ogledali fotografije, nekaj pohištva in dodatke za dom, mini cruiserje iz pleksi stekla, video animacije, ..

Prve obiskovalce čaka welcome drink in pa vsakega še majhno presenečenje.
Po 23h pa se zabavi pridruži dj Pohalino/Zavod Kru/ in razstava se bo spremenila v zabavo!

Btw, for all the international readers... I`m sorry this is in Slovene, but It`s about a local thing, so I felt there is no need to do it in English. Maybe next time. ;)
Anyhow, if you are free on 30th of January and in Ljubljana at the time, come to Centralna postaja, where there will be an exhibition of some young slovenian designers and artists. For sure, it is going to be fun! ;)

:: WOODY the Christmas Tree ::

Uh, it`s a long time since my last post, but that`s what happens when you`re busy. It`s really not usual for me, that I don`t have time for blogging, pinterest and all the other internet fun. I kind of miss it, but from time to time, life hits me really hard and I have to work on other things a bit more.

Today, I`ll introduce to you one of the projects we are working on right now and that`s "Woody the Christmas Tree". Woody is made out of a spruce wood, so it`s natural and very stylish. There are two versions of it, Woody Natural or Woody White, whatever goes best into your space/place. 

We made a FB page for it (here), so please don`t hesitate to give a big like to Woody and share the news. 

If you are from Celje or Ljubljana, you can check out Woody White in stores of And by Andraž, along with the recycled ornaments made by moi. :)

|events - exhibition| ::VIŽDE - OTROC SO LAČN, TK JE::

On Friday I went with my girls to Žalec, to check out what "Vižde" prepared for us this time.

They organised a charity (art) exhibition of young artists that are coming from Žalec & Celje. In my opinion it was great, very well organised, fresh & new for our region, which I approve very much, because I think we definitely need more events like this, so "Bravo" boys&girls, well done & keep it going! ;) 

Lately, I`m asking myself, what are all the talented artists from my town doing, because I know there are a couple of them, but I don`t see much going on...I really hope people will at some point collaborate and make something good out of it (a kickass fresh idea of an event would be a good start, or just something very simple, but good for the city - we really need to be working on bringing life back into it, because at the moment, it`s just sad).

You don`t really need much though. Just time, some effort and an idea of course.

So, Celje....please, surprise me.

If there is anyone with an idea, but he needs help with the organisation, just contact me, I`m all in, I really think, we could do so much more. Nobody is really trying for the public good anymore, everyone started to be egoistic and just do, whatever is best for them. I get it to some point, but I still think, that we are the ones that can change things, we just need to help each other out. Even though you`ll do something for free once, that doesn`t mean you are not valuable, it just means you`re trying at your best + hoping for the best and it will come back to you (good karma and stuff like that). :)

Ah, whatever, it`s better I go to sleep instead of writting an essay here, cuz I was a bit carried away....anyhow, my muscles are still soar from the marathon on Sunday, tomorrow is the last working day for this week (yey!) and I had a kebab today for lunch (healthy, I know) - which was superlicious btw. :)

:: KICKSTARTER PROJECTS - FLYKLY SMART WHEEL & CHIPOLO ::

I`m sure that from time to time, you go and check what`s going on on Kickstarter, right? :) Well, if you don`t, that`s ok, but you can find some really awesome creative projects up there!
I decided to share two of them with you guys, cuz they come from Slovenia and I really love the idea of both of them + come on, we`re so small & yet we have so many talented people! It`s only normal to give them some support, even though it`s just a post on the blog, or sharing the news about it... I`m sure that means a lot. So, if you have a talented friend with a good idea or you are super psyched (this came to my mind from an episode of a south park - not really relevant, but still...) about a project someone did, spread the word, be supportive, show some love! I`m sure they`ll appreciate it. ;)

Ok, this really made me happy, since I`m "losing" my stuff all the time. All of my friends are laughing at me, cuz I`m constantly having panic attacks, because I don`t find my things, even though they are always where they should be - in my bag (btw I`m a sucker for large bags, which doesn`t really help me). :)
Anyhow, they got my attention and I`m definitely a happy (future to be) customer! ;)

|Postcards from Slovenia| :: HEY, I HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU :: guess what? ::

Guys, here they are .. Postcards from Slovenia! ;) Everything really started with this post, when I got an email from a very nice lady, that wanted to buy my postcards (all the way from Singapore btw). At that time I wasn`t really thinking about selling them, but yeah, why not? 

They are available separately or in a package and on two different types of paper. One is more smooth, so they look like more of a photo and the other one has more texture, so they look more like paintings. Depends what you like, more artistic look or more of a traditional one. So, please tell me, what do you think?! What`s your favourite one?

I just saw this movie in the cinema, but I never read the book (that`s in my future plan). I went alone and there was only 5 people watching it, cuz it was playing in the alternative cinema in my hometown, that`s obviously not so popular, but I kind of love it. It`s there - the charm, the smell, the old chairs,..

The great thing is, that I was sitting somewhere in the middle and no one was in front of me, so I had the feeling, that the cinema is all mine + you can have all the food & drinks you want (I had none though, but I know for the next time). 

Anyhow, I really enjoyed the film. I had a smile on my face through most of the movie. It reminded me on a lot of things & also, on some of the people I know....

:: WELCOME TO NEW YORK :: |Fashion Show| ::

Thursday was fun. I got a chance to attend the vip fashion show that was in Citycenter Celje (that`s a shopping mall in my town) for their 7th anniversary. The theme was NEW YORK ( The Big Apple) & the dress code was "Sex in the City" - cool, right? (I know that all the girls watched Sex in the City like at least twice) 

The show was fantastic, I really enjoyed it and I got a very special place with the photographers, so the view was amazing. :) There was a lot of dancing involved on the runway, the models were great, music was pumping and the crowd had fun. Every store in the shopping mall had their own moment of glory and they all used it pretty good. Oh, and about the clothes...you know how it is, you can`t love everything. :)
