|events| :: DOUM in PREOBRAZBA ::

DOUM je društvo mladih oblikovalcev in umetnikov, ki je bilo ustvarjeno dober mesec nazaj, z namenom druženja in izmenjavanja znanj med kreativci.

Zaenkrat so med člani arhitekti, fotografi, grafični oblikovalci, oblikovalci notranje opreme.. želijo pa si, da bi se jim pridružilo čim več zagnanih mladih ljudi, iz različnih kreativnih področij. 

Društvo bo imelo pester program skozi celo leto, od okroglih miz, različnih delavnic na temo programskih orodij, fotografske delavnice in še marsikaj drugega.

Če bi te zanimalo sodelovanje/članstvo, obišči njihovo facebook stran in jim napiši sporočilo.

Otvoritvena zabava DOUM, se bo odvijala 30. januarja ob 20h, v Centralni Postaji. Ob glasbi za katero bo skrbel dj Illusion, si boste lahko ogledali fotografije, nekaj pohištva in dodatke za dom, mini cruiserje iz pleksi stekla, video animacije, ..

Prve obiskovalce čaka welcome drink in pa vsakega še majhno presenečenje.
Po 23h pa se zabavi pridruži dj Pohalino/Zavod Kru/ in razstava se bo spremenila v zabavo!

Btw, for all the international readers... I`m sorry this is in Slovene, but It`s about a local thing, so I felt there is no need to do it in English. Maybe next time. ;)
Anyhow, if you are free on 30th of January and in Ljubljana at the time, come to Centralna postaja, where there will be an exhibition of some young slovenian designers and artists. For sure, it is going to be fun! ;)

|events - exhibition| ::VIŽDE - OTROC SO LAČN, TK JE::

On Friday I went with my girls to Žalec, to check out what "Vižde" prepared for us this time.

They organised a charity (art) exhibition of young artists that are coming from Žalec & Celje. In my opinion it was great, very well organised, fresh & new for our region, which I approve very much, because I think we definitely need more events like this, so "Bravo" boys&girls, well done & keep it going! ;) 

Lately, I`m asking myself, what are all the talented artists from my town doing, because I know there are a couple of them, but I don`t see much going on...I really hope people will at some point collaborate and make something good out of it (a kickass fresh idea of an event would be a good start, or just something very simple, but good for the city - we really need to be working on bringing life back into it, because at the moment, it`s just sad).

You don`t really need much though. Just time, some effort and an idea of course.

So, Celje....please, surprise me.

If there is anyone with an idea, but he needs help with the organisation, just contact me, I`m all in, I really think, we could do so much more. Nobody is really trying for the public good anymore, everyone started to be egoistic and just do, whatever is best for them. I get it to some point, but I still think, that we are the ones that can change things, we just need to help each other out. Even though you`ll do something for free once, that doesn`t mean you are not valuable, it just means you`re trying at your best + hoping for the best and it will come back to you (good karma and stuff like that). :)

Ah, whatever, it`s better I go to sleep instead of writting an essay here, cuz I was a bit carried away....anyhow, my muscles are still soar from the marathon on Sunday, tomorrow is the last working day for this week (yey!) and I had a kebab today for lunch (healthy, I know) - which was superlicious btw. :)

|mikstejp| :: A VERY SPECIAL BIRTH DAY ::

So, on Saturday it was a very special day. Guess why?  Yup, it was my birth daaaaaay! hihi, it was hard to beat last year celebration (if you dont remember, check it out here), but yet again it was unforgettable thx to Jaka & my friends. First in the morning I woke up and there it was, waiting for me.... the best breakfast possible, since I said one day before, that I`m craving for some orange juice and croissants (someone was listening to me very carefully, respect to that) :) Oh, and come on....the print is just adorable -  he loves me strawberry much!

Then, it was on me to decide what I want to do that day, so of  course I wanted to go hiking. :) It was a hot day, so some fresh air was really what I needed. We went to Rogla, had lunch and walked a bit + enjoyed the nature. Around 6pm it was time to go home and walking into our apartment it was definitely the highlight of the day, cuz they threw me a super duper surprise party!!! Woaaaa, I always wanted that! :) haha, you should see me, first I was scared cuz I thought someone broke into our flat (I`ve heard noises), but than quickly I realized that`s not the case, so I started to cry out of joy.... haha, it was amazing! Once again, thank you everyone for coming and being a part of another special day in my life that for sure I`ll always remember! <3

|events|:: SIMONA LAMPE ECO ~ fashion show ~ ::

So, I guess there is no sense that I get into that speech again, about how sorry I am since I haven`t posted for a while now...so I`ll just say, I really love to enjoy summer (if you know what I mean). :)

A while ago (11.6.`13) I was at the Simona Lampe Eco fashion show, which was really good. For the third time already Simona Lampe convinced business women and companies, that eco view of the fashion is important & introduced a fashion show called "Recycled III.".

The collection called "Šah-mat" ("Checkmate") was made out of more than 100 used clothes, that were presented in the fashion show within thirty exits. Checkmate is an association of our meaningless competition with the nature; but it`s not black - white, there is no winner or loser, balance should be the winner.

Re-use concept was partly observed already within the organization of the event and styling: for the location they used enormous parking lot of used cars of Mercedes-Benz, for the outstanding lightning of the tent they used already existing industrial lights from the Hella Saturnus, the creative recycled shoes were made by Teja Gole  & the purses were made out of the publications of slovenian classics.

The highlight of the whole event was a real fashion photoshoot, where the models were women, that donated the clothes (there was even one very special women for us between them and I have to say - she was great!). So, check out the photos & the video that I found (it`s pretty cool).
